Why does SkyTEM ApS

- measure early time gates

• In order to increase the degree of resolution in high resistivity (weakly conductive) areas especially in the near surface region.

• To improve the model resolution and thereby the depth of investigation.

- give high priority to geometric control

• Because full geometric control is essential for good data quality. The rigid lattice platform combined with measurements of DGPS positions, height over terrain and tilt of Tx/Rx coils determines the system orientation in 3D and its location relative to ground level.

• The Tx/Rx coils are placed securely on the frame in a rigid and constant relative position. The Tx/Rx is essentially a central loop configuration producing identical data independent of the flight direction.

- provide technical information on SkyTEM system characteristics and transmitted wave form

• Detailed information on survey design and system characteristics are necessary information in order to allow for further modelling with a consulting company or by SkyTEM ApS.

The SkyTEM data and processing report ...

... contains positional information of all system devices, the transmitted wave form, exact positions of decay windows and description of applied filtering. The report is accompanied by xyz files containing filtered TEM data and layered-earth inversion models.
